Project Description

Renovation of about 15,400 sf on the Diamond Head side of the 10th floor of the Queen Emma Tower for a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on the Punchbowl campus of The Queen’s Medical Center. 

Mechanical Design Included:

  • Air conditioning and ventilation systems in conformance with ASHRAE 170-2021

  • Exhaust ventilation for utility rooms, restrooms, service area, and kitchens

  • Exhaust ventilation for Airborne Infection Isolation (AII) rooms

  • Plumbing system including the following:

    • Domestic hot and cold-water distribution.

    • Sanitary waste and vent.

    • Storm drainage

    • Medical gases

  • Fire sprinkler system
